MiKADO-Musik

This special issue contains articles written as part of the German-Austrian crowd research project „MiKADO-Musik“. Students and teachers at Music Universities, Conservatoires and Music Academies in Germany and Austria are attempting to identify the reasons for the dramatic lack of upcoming teachers at music schools, examining many different aspects in quantitative and qualitative surveys. Finally, the results of the meta-study are presented, which covers all sub-studies and culminates in an overarching model. Based on this, recommendations for remedying the shortage of young professionals are formulated.
